DeleteWhat made Trinity Church more popular and well known than all of the other churches?
ReplyDeleteIt belonged to the British Elite of New York, it was given great publicity and it also welcomed African Americans both enslaved and free to worship. This diversity and economic power made it really popular.
DeleteAlso because the church was the largest landowner and so had much influence on real estate development and housing.
